ScanSnap Home is an improvement on the previously bundled ScanSnap software, as it takes all the separated software suites and merges them together. It does this by using OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology and read text on the receipt and titling the file with that text – for example it might list the restaurant name and price of the bill as the file name and save it amongst all your other restaurant receipts.
